I don’t know why they can’t do it like the kayakers. Other than the pots are so huge the temptation to cheat will rival the walleye guys.

If the bass population rebounds and the species gets so big….what does that mean for the crappie and other fish?

Well at the LOZ there is so much forage I don't think competition for food would ever be a problem. I think this study proves how damaging tournaments are. Just think half the fish released from a tournament die shortly after. I have seen mass kills at weigh-ins before and it makes me sick. Tournaments have become nothing but a money grab for organizers that could care less about the conservation of the fishery. All across the country there are top level lakes that have gone to crap bc of tournament pressure. I don't fish all across the country, but there have been plenty of comments from anglers saying how bad the fishing is getting. Obviously there were enough complaints in Alabama to finally get something done.
