I’m currently running 2 31 series AGMs for my trolling motor. These replaced the 27 series AGMs I had which are now in my sons boat. I’ve never had a issue with AGM’s. I have fried killed murdered the old wet cells in the past. Secure them properly and use the correct gauge wiring and you will be good for many years. I’ve seen a lot of boats with under sized wiring for trolling motors. Don’t cheap out when it comes to wiring Most need 6 gauge wiring This gives you steady constant power and no risk of frying things due to amp/ current draw. Just my 2 cents
