    Default Sad News


    If any of you all are familiar with Foutz Hunting and Fishing Shop in Cape Girardeau, Danny Foutz was killed in an auto accident Monday morning. He was a really good guy and always friendly and helpful. He will be missed.

    There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    I was in his shop last week I think it was Friday and Danny was trying to sell me a new rod. I picked up some jigs and some arrow field points and we talked for a while. I told him I might be back for the rod.

    I just told my wife I think I'm going back and buy that rod.

    He helped me catch some fish over the years

    I wish I knew that was the last time I was going to talk to him.

    I liked him...I'm going to miss him.

    Same here doggone. He called me Saturday and talked for a little while. It's sad to think that he'd be gone less than 48 hours later.
