Thread: Total eclipse of sun August 21. Hotels already booked full.

They were talking about it this morning on radio. They said hotels in St. Joseph and Cape Are already booked full. There is group of 400 from Isreal going to St. Joseph and a big group from Japan or China going to Cape. Also campgrounds booked full. First total sun eclipse in Missouri since 1442. I imagine all the little towns between the 2 cities will be booked full also.

Ground zero for it is supposed to be just east of Lake Barkley and everybody is going crazy promoting it. Businesses, local and state governments spending tons of $$. Hard for me to understand the significance and what makes it so special. Excuse me for not getting excited about some celestial event that will last a few minutes. Hey wait!! Maybe somebody will give me $500 for my $49 welding helmet. Auto darkening!!!
