I tell you I really like a truck that has a transmission temp gauge rather than an idiot light. It helps to tell exactly how much stress it's under. Sounds like the match your talking about will be okay. I will tell you that two things really work on a transmission....towing uphill...and high outdoor temps. You really want to see what it will do try it on a 100 degree day where there are a lot of LONG inclines.If your ever going to overheat one that's when you'll do it. I read a pretty good article one time in something like Poplar mechanics or something.It was one of the most indepth pieces I had ever read. It said whatever you do if you exceed a maximum temp of something in the 300 degree range(?) to always change the fluid. Don't leave the fluid in a transmission thats been hot..change it.
