I scratch my head sometimes when these pros endorse their products. I was watching a youtube video on frog fishing for bass. The pro's set up was a Daiwa Zillion Type R reel, Daiwa Steez Frog Rod, Maxima 65 pound braid, and his personally developed frog. I went to Tackle Warehouse and added up $919.00 plus tax for a frog fishing rig. Are you crazy? Are you out of your mind? Would you pay that kind of money if it weren't given to you? Then you have lures alone going for $20 easy. Hey I'm sure it's all good stuff but this ol boy ain't paying that kind of money. I had no trouble today pulling a 6 pound bass wrapped in a tree using a BPS Bionic Blade Rod and BPS Nitro Reel. Brands like BPS, Quantum, Pflueger, Strike King, Yum, Creme, Norman, Bandit, Berkley, Rapala, Smithwick, Terminator, Zoom, Big Bite, just to name some are making high quality products that catch fish at reasonable price. This does not relate to crappie fishing as much but the bass fishing industry is getting expensive. Some of these manufacturers are hooking fishermen instead of fish.
