Default Need help with ducer placement

Anybody run a Lund 1775 with Lowrance Hds? Getting ready to install and I don't want to drill but one set of holes. Pic would be great.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Not on a Lund but on my fm165 lowe deepV.. Mount lss2 10 to 12 inches to the right of the lower unit.this ducer does not have to protrude below hull (not used on plain) cuts down on the rooster tail adds some protection.mount the 2d ducer 4 or 5 inches right of lss2. This ducer does need to be higher than the lss2 but protrude below the hull or it will shade the beam of the lss2. Also will need to trim motor up as lower unit will also block lss2 beam. Watch for the chines, rivet lines any thing that can couse terbulace .
I'm positive you know most of that but just putting it out there.Hope it helps in someway.
Now the big question . did you get a Lund?

No I didn't get a Lund. Im installing two Gen 3 HDS 9 on a buddies boat along with a Mi5 pinpoint troller. Just want to make sure before I start drilling holes. Anyway you can get me a pic JR? if not I will roll with it. Im putting the si ducer on a stump jumper mount and then linking everything together with the troller.
I just got started and am already pulling what little hair I have left out

Sorry no pics the Lowes gone. And I put the total scan on the Ranger so I had only one ducer to deal with.
But heres a vid that helped me

You could mount a peace of pvc board on the transome. That way if you have to move stuff you're drilling holes in the pvc not the alum.

If the troller is on the bow, and the puck is on the transom, or the internal GPS is on the console, the pinpoint will be offset by the same amount. That could equate to 18ft on an 18ft boat. Just food for thought, and you can't really offset that with software, as far as I know. To be really "pinpoint" accurate (or as accurate as the GPS will allow) you'd need the puck or internal GPS mounted as close to the TM as possible. If it's console mount and internal GPS, a 12ft rod would come close to making up the difference on a smaller structure.

If the TM has it's own internal GPS, then it would only be off by the difference between the transducer and the Head unit GPS.
