i use a stick steer but its 16'/48" with only a 25hp so not near as big as what you are looking for. mine doubles as both a duck boat and a crappie rig. to me depends on what kind of reasons you want the boat. if it were up to me id have a bigger boat with a steering console preferrably (for me) a larger war eagle, excel, express something like that in aluminum. only reason i say metal boat is bc i fish the mississippi river in the summer and deer hunt it so i wouldnt want the wear and tear on a nice fiberglass ranger. i also do some shallow fishing and dip trees and stuff like that so my duck boat is perfect for this and stick steer is the way to go. now if all i was gonna do is crappie fish on bigger lakes and my boat never really touch the land then i'd own a ranger in a heartbeat. just cant afford that kind of luxury at the moment so the duck boat will have to be how i float around for awhile. i have fished out of both a 21' war eagle and also a 21' excel and both boats are comparable. also fished out of a ranger and its a very nice ride compared to a metal boat. just depends on your wants/needs/budget.
