I agree with this. The Ego Reach net even with the rubber net can be handled pretty well of fishing alone with rods 14' or less. I still have one. Only issue I have with it is fish will sometimes flop out of it. The rubber netting is not real deep and acts like a trampoline when a big fish decides to flop. When tournament fishing I run a Dotline extendable net that was the "Crappie Masters" branded net. It has a light coated rubber mesh. I believe it goes to 13 1/2 ft. But I drilled holes every 6" in it so I can really adjust/fine tune it to what works for which length rods we are using. Takes some length to get out to the 16' rods. I need to get a picture of how I leave it while fishing. The hoop of the net sets on top of my trolling motor head. Then the handle sets on top of my 1199 and then on back to sit on the center of my seat base. This makes it real quick for either guy to grab it and it's already heading to the water by that point.
