Thread: Don't try this at home or anywhere.

10 days ago husband was hooking up boat trailer. Hitch slipped off of ball and he grab it to try and stop it. Well it smashed his pinkie between the hitch and the bumper. It was stuck there. He had to put his hip against bumper and shove the trailer back with his foot. Wrapped finger up with handkerchief. Came in house, washed the cut out and used peroxide. Put on antibiotic salve and bandaid. Thought he could dr it himself. By Sunday morn the red was going into his hand. Time for urgent care. Nothing broke but had to dig out a sliver of metal. Antibiotics helped the infection. Dr visit Thursday. More antibiotics and pain meds. Swelling is down and infection better. But can't stand for anything to touch it. Even reeling in while fishing hurt. You don't realize how many times you bump your fingers until one is hurt. Gonna take a while to get better. The pain has been really bad. When he bumps it it thumps. He realizes he should have went to dr when it happened.
