    Default Dam skunks

Woke up,at 2:00 am to the most horrible smell. It was the worst I have smelled. Not for sure where he sprayed. Yet think it might be the air conditioner unit. It was really bad. Got up at 5 to go fishing. Still smelled bad. Sprinkled carpet freshner on floors. Got home from fishing and YUK the smell is still in the house. Just finished spraying deodorizing spray into return air vents. That helped some. Now going to spray febreeze in them. Now I know whT happened to our kittens. They were big enough to be weaned. Yes skunks will kill cats.

I have always had Labs and live out in country. Had a friend that lived in town but couldn't keep his young dog from running off so I took it from him as a favor.
it is a Patterdale Terrier about 25 pounds. They are bred to be ground tunnel hunting dogs. he Hates SKUNKs!
Dont have a Skunk or Opossum left in the area. best dog or pet I have ever had and loves people and kids but you bey year not not be a skunk or similar critter.
Bad part of this story is while he was eliminating the Skunks he didn't mind them spraying him while he did it.
i could smell him coming up the lane a 1/2 mile away after one of his successful hunts.

Yep dogs help. We had coonhounds and beagles for 40 years but the last ones have died. Even though we live way out in the country we can't have a dog loose. They either get hit on the road, get stolen or get into neighbors stuff. Just not practical. Have had serveral dogs that came home smelling like skunk after husband had them out hunting. Sort of miss not having a dog around but not enough yet to get another dog.

There are skunks on the dam????
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

It helped. Also bought one of those things you hang in the toilet to make it smell better. I unwrapped it and layed it on the air return vent. That helped too. I think the stink is gone. I wish all these skunks were on the dam.lol

I think the Wind was out of the North West that morning.......Think that the smell originated about WINDSOR, MO.
I just KNOW it was a big one!!!
