    Default Transducer or Fishfinder problem

I have a Hummingbird 365i GPS+Fishfinder. On the first day of spring camp I notice that it was showing erratic depths. It would show a correct depth and then drop to 60 to a hundred feet. It look like that about every inch of graph on the screen the depths would change. Has anyone ever encountered this and if so what was the solution? thanks,

    Coz
I've had mine go crazy once or twice. Used the restore defaults setting and everything was better.

My lowrance throwed a fit friday, I did a soft reset and all is back to norman, I think the Hummingbird would work about the same.

Another thing to check is the transducer for correct alignment and angle. If the transducer has has been bumped up to high on the transom or if it is tipped up it will get air turbulence under it and give false readings.
