    Went today. Thought a couple warm days and nights followed by some rain might cause some to pop, but...no joy. Saw lots of brand new may apples growing up. I *did* find a few ticks, though.

    Found a good mess of reds yesterday with Shane. Took to my moms today for my Grandma's 99th birthday and she sure ate them up.
    There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    The boy and I headed out after school today to see if we could save some shrooms from freezing tonight.
    This what we able to save! Not bad for a couple of hours of walking!
