Ammo has a very short shelf life. I never go without checking the shelves and have been surprised only a few times. And, I'm told it won't get any better soon.

Well I'm glad I bought some a month ago because after throwing some rounds down range today I thought I would pick up another box, just in case. Bass Pro nope, Academy, nope Walmart 1 & 2 nope. Back home in Bolivar without that extra box. If I get desperate, I'll hit ripnlips up for some![]()

We have 308 if you get in a pinch. Hornady is what we have in deer rounds. Crazy how the shortage of the deer rounds are. To many people making handgun rounds this spring to get caught up. Now we are paying for it. 243 and 30-30 are really hard to find. We have not been able to get any for several months now. Will be lots of upset people when they come in last minute to get tags and shells end of this week.
22 ammo up here has been tough to find unless you go to gun shop and they have raised there prices a bunch because of the shortage right now !
May all your live wells be full.Dave
The last lead refinery in these United States will be locked up and out of business, per the E.P.A., very, very soon. I can't help but think that the ammo situation will get nothing but worse (if that's possible). It's my understanding that virtually all of the lead supply of this country will be imported, probably from China. Already a lot of our bullets are made there..........
The Chinese are already pushing the USA for gun control via the United Nations. I wonder what will happen when Obama and the Chinese have 100% control of our lead and ammo supply.
Our son works part time at Cabelas in the gun department. He said over the weekend that they can't get 243 or 30/30 ammo. It has been like that all year. Didn't know what the problem was for that size ammo. They get ammo in but it will be gone the same day and they are getting it in by the pallets. Some of the customers buying ammo talk about how many thousands of rounds they have at home.
Its the same way here in Clinton at Everhart's. Deer rounds are tough to get. Lots of handgun ammo now but no soft point deer rounds.
