Thread: Finding lots of neat stuff going through my mom's stuff

since mom passed away in July have been going through here stuff. Finding lots of neat stuff. Found my hospital bill when I was born. I cost $99.75. She was in there for a week. But that was in 1954. Found a couple of certificates in German. Used the German translater on google and found out they were baptism certificates. Yesterday found a copy of my great grandpa's citizenship paper. he was born in Hanover, Germany. The citizenship stuff went through the criminal court in St. Louis. Thought it was kind of strange it wold go through the criminal court but that may be all they had. Pictures of people I have no idea who they are. It is a work in progress. Slow progress.

I have some cousins who have spent years going through geneology stuff trying to put together a family tree. Those things are a really good start if you want to pursue it, or maybe a relative is already doing something. Careful tho....I hear it's an addictive pastime
