It is pole and line only but a couple of weeks ago someone had lines in with noodles attached to them. Not the first time we saw lines in there but this time they actually had nerve enough to attach yellow noodles to them. Think there is a lot of illegal fishing and keeping going on there. Never see anyone there checking anything.

We are ready for the river to drop down behind the dikes. Want to do some overnight fishing and like for the water to be DOWN. Well actually I usually fall asleep and husband watches all poles. works out pretty good until he drops a small catfish on me.

I won't go out for an all nighter until the dikes show, either. I'd guess it will be at least july before that happens.

"noodles" are swimming pool noodles that people make into trot line markers and catfish jugs. they are perfectly legal in most missouri waters but the small conservation lake that perch plucker was speaking of is strictly pole and line only. some people break the rules because the lake is off the beaten path and no one is looking...

Yep. Last year saw a couple cleaning fish in their boat on the otherside of the lake away from dock and ramp. I doubt they were leaving any skin on to identify the fish. Or how big. Bass have to 18" before keeping.
