Could be a shot in the dark but nothing ventured nothing gained and you never know I guess. I am willing to pay for a good mushroom spot. If you know where some are and don't want them PM me and I will gladly work out a deal with some one. I've walked miles upon miles and only found around a dozen.

My Dad has only found about 20 this year and he normally finds hundreds. Went to spots that have been really good in past years and nothing. Good luck with your search.

I do a bit of hiking and exploring on conservation grounds. I have seen em and not paid attention or registered what they were. Being from down south the whole morel thing escapes me as something worth doing. I will keep my eye out for remains of dried up shrooms and pass along the information. I actually "found" and harvested my first deliberate morels this week at camp. Hookin's dad had been gone too long so we all split up looking for him. I came across a tree with about 18 around it.

Thats a gold mine Gordon. Usually that tree will produce year after year. Spot worth paying for if a million others don't know about it.
