Here is how fast it can change. DoubleD had to go full Rambo style to cut his way out of his tent after it collapsed from the weight of the snow.
But It sure makes it easy to keep drinks cold.

I was asked the other day where I thought the bite was right now, and all I could come up with was "well...they haven't gone shallow, not sure if they have spread out or gone deep...... I think they have left the lake!"
this generation of crappies has to be the most screwed up in the history of, well about 106 generations since the last may snow in 1906...someday, they will be sitting around telling their kids about how bad they had it back in '13

Well the fish are still there just saw 30 roll through camp in a livewell. Said spider rigging channel 10 foot down
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
