Rabbit would have been my secound choice. I hear ya on the other types but for about 5 years i saw that farmers matter's pouring out he top of that cage. Back then i was to busy to have a garden. Got plenty of time. It be MAy before we can plant em'.

Rabbit is real rich or hot. It takes very little of it or it will burn up what you plant in it. Mixed with other things in moderation it can be very good and only takes a little.

I have a couple of gins close by so I use cotton hulls the most. There is an oil producer in Memphis, I could pay for a truck load of cotton seed hulls. A couple of horse stables nearby that I can get a few loads. Cattle farms are farther out, chicken farms aren't around here close. I hear of some AR farmers getting the water, chicken house washout to add to their gardens and fields. I tried some chicken manure some years back. We dug into the pile and found dead chickens. My brother wasn't into that. So we didn't get that much and never went back.
