My buddy shot this one with his bow the Friday before gun season.

My son passed a small doe and most others were two far for him this weekend and youth. He has a great attitude because he said he had a great time just being out there. He’s got a couple of bucks but just likes going. Pretty proud dad because he has logged many hours in a stand and will do 4 hours sits with no problem.

Me well let’s just say I muffed it! Almost like blowing your motor in a tourney and then dropping the winning fish in the water because you have a hole in your net!!! Passed on some nice deer but Thursday morning at 8 am a doe brings a Nice one to my stand. He stands at 15 yards and I proceed to miss 4 foot left??? My string caught my coat sailing my arrow wide left. Oh well at least I didn’t wound him!

Sat in the rain with my bow Sunday morning wearing Orange while everyone else stayed dry and warm in the camper thought it would pay off but ended up all WET!!!

Congrats to ALL and the first pic is why I love the outdoors.
At least your out trying for one.
May all your live wells be full.

I been at it hard core this fall. killed 2 does with my bow. 1 in late september. one in early october. last wednesday night I had a really good 8 trot into my shooting lane. 18 yards. let an arrow fly but caught a twig and ruined it for me. damn I could have (did) cried!!! saturday and sunday all I saw were does, and not very many of em. 5 to be exact but they milled around in my turn-ups all evening both nights. this morning I hunted a different property with the intent of killing a nice doe. had a good one come into range in the woods, BAM!!! deer drops, I climb down..... crap, a really big button buck. not what I had intended on, but meat on the table, anyhow. doing some laundry now, when thats done I am headed out again. I have all week to hunt, thanks to my lovely wife!!!! god bless her heart!!!
    good luck everyone!

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
