Thumbs up Good to get out

Well Sam and I ran up this morning and met up with ole pokerface. We had figured it would be really tough dealing with the wind today and we were really surprised to find it was not nearly as bad as we had expected. We fished the Sparrowfoot area using mostly pink/black combo. White bass were out in full force and man do they hit hard. They are sure a lot of fun to catch on a 10 footer. The Crappie bite was pretty slow but the ones we did put in the boat were all really nice size. Sam had big fish for the day. Seems at most times we really dislike these smart phones but today we were Thankful for them as it seemed the weather might be moving in, pulled out our phones and checked the radar, sure enough looked like the storm front was probably 20 minutes out so off we went. Got to see and spend some time on the water with Mr. Beagle today. Good to see you and chat Michael. We had a short but great day of fishing today. Thanks for taking us out for a good morning of fishing Monty. We enjoyed it as always.

Since we ended early we decided to run up to Everharts in Clinton. We just can't say enough about this store. I'm saying we probably spent over an hour in there just looking at things. If money wasn't an object, I could really load up in there. They have so much nice stuff its hard not to just get a cart and load up.

From there we ran down to Bucksaw and went by the main campsite. Man was the rain and lightening getting after it while we were there. Everybody seemed to be having a nice time and it was really good to see old friends again. Jared seemed to have everything organized and under control and of course Buckwheat had taken over in making sure everyone would eat well. Not only did he bring one smoker but TWO.

I've just been busy this summer fellas and have not been on the board but I will stand by what I have said in past........................There are some real stand up guys in this group and I'm glad to call you my friends. I'm sorry we couldn't stay for the dinner this evening but it was really good seeing everybody today.

    Take care fellas,

    WantinCrappie (Chris2)

p.s. Jack, as you might have figured out by now, the old Dodge made it all the way back to Nixa one more time.

Brian, I really liked your pellet smoker. I will have to say when I got home last night I went to looking into those. Think I might have to just get one myself. Your a bad influence for sure. First I really liked your deep fryer and had to go get one of those, now your smoker................ The meat looks to die for, hate we couldn't stick around to eat.

It was great seeing you and Sam, Chris2. Wish you could have stayed a while longer.
