Only washing machine I ever had to have repaired was a Maytag. It will probably be a wax switch. Crazy thing.

Got a new washing machine 11 months ago. It broke down. It won't spin and the lid lock light keeps blinking. I bought a Maytag. They are suppose to be very good. It is a Maytag Centennial. 1 of the new fancy smancy things that don't use much water or electric. I am beginning to think I should have gotten the regular kind. At least it has a 2 year warranty on it. They can't get to it until next monday. CRAP. It is just my husband and I so it doesn't have a big load to do. Did the laundro mat thing this morning. Man I hate those places. I hope they get it fixed next monday or I will be off to laundro mat again. It is level we checked that. don't want to do anything else because of the warranty.

Get your book and look for trouble shooting. We got one of those about 5 years ago and had something like that happen, wrong soap. That flashing light may be a trouble code that should be in your book.

I make Sandi handwash all our laundry since we live in a van down by the river.

Went through the book a couple of times and no help for the problem. I use a soap for HE models. It says safe for all machines including HE.
