No bugs

You know it is hot & dry when there is no bugs. No mosquitos, grasshoppers, horse flies or anything else. Can't even get a bug on a windshield at night. The only good thing about this weather. My chickens search & search but hide most of the day trying to find some relief.

Our city imposed voluntary water restrictions. Even houses water on even days, etc. Well, most of my neighbors don't bother to water so I use their days as well.

Now that you mention it, the bugs have been few and far between when sitting on the deck. Rabbits, now that is something we've got to deal with. They are EVERYWHERE in this area. No predators.
