    That bird has been hanging there at least 2 weeks if you took that picture up in Roberts branch, can't imagine more than one like that at Smithville?!?! I thought it was a bird dangling from the tree but was out in the lane heading in and was too hot to give a closer look. Thanks for snapping a photo, Bill. That's just crazy!

    I've got several idea's.
    1) Heat got to his melon and he committed suicide.
    2) Injuns done it.
    3) MOMO aka the Missouri Monster. I think NatGeo had something on this in the boot heel, not kidding google it if you don't believe me. Probably made his way up to smithville.
    4) Could have been my Grandma she's pretty mean and hates cormorants.
    Thats all the logical explanations I can think of right now.

    I have no clue how that would happen, I like the texting anfd flying idea but I bet in another week or so, when the maggots start falling out, it will be a dandy spot to fish. if you can stand the smell.
