Default How much should you give $$$

Im interested in getting some opinions. If your going fishing with someone who has a boat and truck and they are
driving say 30 miles one way to fish. How much money for gas do you think a guy should give them?
    thanks

Me personally if it's my boat I don't expect anything (I'm a little funny that way) and if I'm going with someone I just ask how much (again a little funny that way)
I fished with a buddy from work for 13years and can't recall a time when he asked me for anything and the funny thing is is when I got my boat and took him and another buddy fishing they insisted on paying their part 1/3rd each--again I didn't expect it nor asked for it but it was appreciated.

I usually give Frank 20 and bring the food and drinks cause by the time you pay for gas and oil for the boat and pickup,it cost alot to go to the lake anymore.Plus the investment of owning the rig.(he has never asked for a dime )If we fish a tournament ,I pay the entry fee plus food and drink.Just seems fair to me.

not that I "WANT" anything but its cost me about 60-80 bucks to get on the water. and I live 45 minutes away. its better every other trip or so say you need to stop at the gas station and fill the truck up for them no matter how low it is. that means more than anything

I live in Clinton and even if going to Bucksaw or the Osage I will spend $30-$40 in gas for boat and truck. Tournament days I will end up spending between $75-$100 not counting oil which is well over $20 a gallon now. Never really thought about it before but I go 12-15 times a month and that adds up to a lot of money for a dang little fish that I don't even eat.

I live 100 miles from Bucksaw, meet at my house come back to my house to clean fish, buy minnows. It is a $80.00 to $100.00 trip $40.00 is not unreasonable. If ya think it is then you do not have a boat, trailer, and truck to maintain! The IRS will give over .50 cents a mile deduction on tax's. Thats over $100 just for the vehicle to get there and back, if it was not worth that then the IRS would surly not give that! Wish I had enough money to cover everything all the time! Just an offer to pay is the same as paying in my opinion, if I don't want it I will not take it!

Meet up with Jared, Bob, or any of ya at Bucksaw with my boat, don't want a thing, enjoy meeting and fishing with new people. Just my two cents worth!
