Wild turkey taste so much better than a store bought bird. If you have ever eaten a barn yard chicken then a store bought one, its the same thing, anything not fed tons of chemical induced feed tastes way better.

Nothing better than a wild turkey breast cut into strips and fried. With out a dought the best meal I ever had was wild turkey cooked like that with fresh white moral mushrooms and fried tators. I hear they are very good deep fried in the big cookers also.

Congrats, watch out this turkey hunting is addictive, lol. Been doing it since I was old enough to hold a single shot 20 gauge my grandpa would prop up with sticks so I could shoot it, my first bird was when I was 6 years old. Been doing ever since. Its a great feeling when you put the work in on finding the bird, roosting the bird, then hoping like crazy nothing happend to it in the middle of the night, call that big tom in and hear it spit drum and see it strut in front of you. Its a great experience!

Ya my first time ever goin was perfect until one little mistake that I never speak of. But today was the biggest bird to come off of our farm by Bennet springs. When i saw that tom come behind a tree I was shakin, but when i shot and saw it floppin on the ground, It felt so good shootin a turkey.
