All I know is some pheasant nuggets sure do sound good...mmmm I have been on a few hunts where they will set out birds the night before and we used our dogs to find them, I just had never heard of this method...hope you didn't take my previous post wrong!!!
You can take a pen raised bird, but his head under his wing and sit him by a weed clump and he won't move. He don't know what to do.
No worries guys!! They throw em from 45 ft and they fly like hell, tough to hit way up there, however once they hit the ground they don't move, the retrievers retrieved at least 2 birds that hadn't been hit at all.
