You're also lucky. That jump could have ended up in a broken leg. What if... it was shallower in that area than you thought, rip rap, uneven landing, busted ankle, etc, now you're in cold water, disfunctional limb, you just upped the bet with the ripper.

Merry Christmas, thanks for the reminder of the danger this weather brings.

Glad it worked out Kaz. You're lucky!!!! Since installing an IPilot Terrova on my boat, I'm going to deploy the trolling motor when I tie to the dock. If the rope comes loose, I can use the remote to bring it back.

Speck, or you can make Monty stay in the boat and tell him if it breaks loose he either brings it back or spend the night on the lake.

Holy $#!+ Kaz, glad you are ok that story made cringe when I reflect on this weekend cause I forgot my life jacket in such a rush to get to the lake. When I was on my way back to the ramp I hit a piece of driftwood I couldn't see with the waves and sun in my face, it ripped the transducer off the boat and it swung around and hit the back of my seat and I almost needed a new change of underwear. Glad you made it out, I would have hated to think the last time I talked to you would have been Sunday morning.

Glad to hear your OK. hope no cold or pneumia follows. I think we were pulling out as you were putting in Sunday. I wish now I would've asked and introduced myself.
Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day; teach someone to fish and you feed them for life.
Matthew 5:19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

Glad you are OK after that dip in the ice water. I watched a knuckle head follow a cell phone in at sparrowfoot, and have seen others take random dips at all times of the year. Read last year about a guy that fell in the water in winter and had just reserved himself to the great beyond, when a boat came around the corner and saved him, and another whose dog turned the boat around. We never know when we'll go, so we need to enjoy the time on the water, and be careful.

    Merry Christmas.
