I had my roof done earlier this year, and company x was the contractor, this was a hail damage job. I've seen the roofing crew on 20 other houses, representing at least 5 companies.

This makes me believe that it doesn't matter who you use, maybe price is the biggest factor.

this is correct i own a construction co. in the st.louis area and most siding/roof jobs are sold to a company and then sub out from there,sometimes more than once!

I was more or less looking for an individual, rather than a company. It's not really that big of a job. My daughter's house got some hail damage and they were hoping to find a local guy who does good work. Small house.
