It is amazing what they can do now. They'll go in through my right ribs for the fix, there will be two-three other holes under my left ribs for other tools, then the heart/lung machine is hooked up in my groin area. Recovery is 2-4 weeks vs 6-8 with the chest being busted open.

One more day in the office.

    Wish me well.

Been in the glide path for this since late 07. Yearly cardiographs showed a decreased function of the valve causing damage to that side of the heart. Time for action. 95% chance this is a lifetime fix.
Good luck. Hope it goes well and wishing you a speedy and total recovery! Keep us posted.

that is great, I was out for 11 weeks. I was a candidate for robotics until they found the blockage.
Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

I feel like a million bucks considering I had heart surgery Friday. No bruses, no pain, off the meds yesterday morning, showered this morning sitting in street clothes waiting on the "GO" from the doctor. Yea yea yea, light duty, etc., but I feel like I could go home and mow grass or head to the office. I'll be a good heart patient and keep it low/slow for a while.

Truely a blessing and a wonder what can be done now via robots.

Correction to my earlier information. I have a 2.5" cut where my right leg joins my groin, one 2" cut under the right breast, and about three other tiny holes around the right chest. That's it!!
