What a light show with that rain too. Haven't seen a lightning storm show like that in a long time.

well the sun is out, the wind has calmed and I am in the house, done brush hogging, wont be able to walk for a day or two, but I dont care, gonna sit and cook for the weekend, well clean the cooker and get the meat marinating. get read to cook. seen lots of deer and rabbits while brush hogging, made several game trails and checked out the neighbors corn field, the one closest to me is 50 ac. lookin good, be glad when the corn is ready to steal,,,,i mean pick. love field corn fried or boiled. or roasted on the grill. mmmmm good.

oh and speck had vine ripe fresh picked tomatoes from arkansas. pernells sausage, gravy, and eggs, poured the gravy all over them maters and let the feast commence.

That's a new one for me....never heard of putting gravy on a tomato. I doubt I'll try it though, I would hate to waste a good tomato. Speaking of tomatoes, how stinking long does it take for them to get ripe....it's killing me! We've got probably 30-40 big tomatoes and can't count high enough for cherry tomatoes and they will not turn red!!! Did eat some zucchini out of the garden last night. First thing out of this year.
