Hate to hear that, Chattster. After what happened to Alabama a few weeks ago, I'm a bit more respectful of those warnings. Hoping for the best for the good people of Joplin.

Always shoot for the moon, if you miss you'll still be among the stars.
They have declared Joplin a disaster area.
St. John's/Mercy Hospital was suffered the windows being blown out, a fire severe damage to the building & grounds.
26th St, just north of the hospital has had ALL structures there severely damaged if not destroyed.
Local authorities are saying initially that they expect "many" fatalities.
The hospitals have put out a call for Doctors, Nurse's, First Responder's, etc.
Many business's on Rangeline are destroyed.
Academy Sports had the entire front of the store taken off by the storm.
It isn't pretty, folks.
Thinking of everyone who has been affected by this storm and hope that everyone is ok. I have heard reports of fatalities already.....not good!!!! The report on Weather Channel said a minimum of 3 miles long and roughly a mile wide....the video on YouTube by chasertv.com appears this town was destroyed. Be safe everyone in this area!!!!
23 dead and they said it will grow, my prayers go out to them.![]()
