    Default Rain gear

I'm fixin to pull the trigger on some new rain gear. Either BPS 100 mph or BPS Pro Qualifier. Is the 100 mph worth the extra $ or is the Pro Qualifier just as good? Thanks

EXCELLENT question C1! I am however, no help. I use a Hefty bag; get 30 for around 5 bucks (SORRY, I had to)

Dad bought his 100 MPH gear (bibs, jacket, and hat) 4 years ago and he absolutely LOVES it. Still looks like he just picked it up and he wears it quite a bit....he claims it has been well worth the money.

On the same trip, I picked up the BPS Goretex jacket and pants, and also grabbed the 100 MPH windbreaker jacket and this setup works wonders for me as well.... I can only imagine how toasty and dry you would be if you combined the Windbreaker jacket (fleece lined) with the 100 MPH bibs and jacket.... I think you could literally fish in anything, including the blizzard that just went through.

    Hope this helps!

Chris, I don't know about their rain gear but a couple years ago I purchased some Under Armour cold weather gear from BPS. I sure love it! I spent about 5 hours yesterday on a tractor without a cab on it and I was almost too warm! I have the hoodie, socks, underwear and tee shirt, I have used it in the boat fishing and during times that I new I would be out in the cold for several hours at a time. Granted I have carhartt coveralls, and they work great but not fishing out of a boat. I can fish in cold weather in just a pair of jeans and a light jacket in a boat. The only bad thing about the Under Armour is its kind of hard to wear it and drive in a warm pickup. You will have the window cracked going down the highway.

I have Cabelas Guidewear, I did alot of searching about the better rainwear and I found EVERYONE who had Guidewear would buy it again. I haven't had to use it more than 5 times since I bought it, but when I did use it I DIDN'T get wet. It is pricey though!!!!

We bought some new rain gear this year at Everharts. We got the new Frog Tog bibs & jacket. Havent got to try it out yet but it is a lot heavier than the old style. I really want the new Artic Under Armour but at $375.00 I wanted to try it on first & closest store that carried it was in northern Iowa:D
