    If he didn't hit anything, I'd be surprised if it's covered. If your gears just go out in your LU, without a collision, I doubt it would be covered. Never heard of it being covered without collision.

    I checked with insurance and it's not coverd. The boat is only 9 months old and Pros Choice wont help me at all they want to trade it.

    Dealers typically don't offer more than 1-3 months on a used outboard engine not covered by factory warranty. If its a fresh rebuild or power head some will go longer. Unless otherwise stated in writing you best assume "as is".
