    Default Garmin 1450 nuvi Update

Just wanted to say after using my new 1450 to come back Lake Charles, LA that I was very happy with it! If anyone pulls a RV trailer as many miles as I do or travels to as many different locations this Garmin is the only way to go. We came back another way this year than what we did last year. Never missed an exit because the GPS unit wasnt keeping up with my speed, like I did all the time with my TomTom units. When your doing 75 mph plus and pulling a trailer you don't have a lot of reaction time.

While in Lake Charles, I went to a Wal-Mart for more sewer line for the RV. Got over there and they only had one box of line. Went out to the pickup and punched a couple of buttons and was mapped to another Wal-Mart in about 2 minutes.

LOL even have specials or coupons come up from food eatting places on it!

I have had 2 Tom Tom's and after getting this Garmin I am wondering how Tom Tom even stays in business! Granted I like the way the TomTom zooms in and shows you the road better with the lanes but I may not know what I am doing with the Garmin yet. There has been many times traveling to North Missouri that I have had to use the GPS to find my way driving in the fog.

Well heck found out something today about my Garmin unit! It doesn't show the Springfield, MO Police Station as even being any where near me! Does show the Battlefield Police Station and the Marionville Police Department. Maybe Garmin is trying to tell me something about our department in Springfield, MO. PW58 was playing with it today when we went to Buffalo, MO and she showed me where it shows the phone numbers of Gas Stations near me.

I've got a Nuvi that's a little over a year old. Has done a good job of getting me to places where my wife bought something on Craig's List. Lets you know of turns well in advance.

Yeah I love it so far. Granted it don't show you the actual driving lanes like the Tom Tom units did. I tell you what after having 2 different new tom tom units and now having this Garmin Nuvi I won't go back! After running both units together the Garmin shows more roads than the Tom Tom.
