I've fished it 3 times. It's one of my favorites.

Only been down once and we fished the upper blue basin and stayed at the sportsman resort. Caught lots of fish but not the size we heard and seen in pictures. I have learned a lot about crappie fishing since then and would love to go try it again now that I know how to spider rig. That is where I seen it done the first time. We adapted and two pole trolled with the coffee can anchor out the front of the rental boat and the trolling motor in reverse to keep the speed right. Biggest fish we caught was 14 1/2" and I caught it with in 5 minutes of being on the water and on the first cast. So size went down hill from there. It is a pretty lake with lots of cypress trees. But cant fish it like Truman and dip them. At least not in early spring. But it makes for a cheap vacation if you rent a cabin with boat motor gas ice and bait included for around $75 a day. Cheap fun for sure.

It's been a tough one for me to learn how to fish, but getting better. Beautiful place though, I really like fishing it.
