Default Lake of the Ozarks FLW

    Fellas,

I'll be fishing Lake of the Ozarks in mid-March 2011 for the FLW college fishing series. I've never fished the lake....I'm doing all I can to read up on it but can't find much in the way of advice and most importantly WHERE to fish. We'll be launching at Osage Beach. Anyone willing to cough up some pointers??

    Thanks,
    FH

FLW???? Is that a green carp tournament trail or a crappie tourny?

Let's say it's for crappie, but the crappie are hiding where bass typically do.

If you like fishing shallow way up tributaries i've got the place for you,i catch several lm,spots and several smallmouths up there that time of year by accident,i ran into a local guy that i know bank fishing up there last year and he said he had caught an 8 a 6 and several a bit smaller the day before,i thought he was blowing because he is a bit windy but a few minutes later i saw him catch a 6+ on a rogue.....they are up there in feb and march if you figure out how to catch em you just might draw a check.

Historically it takes big weights in mid March. Might also goggle up 7/24 Outdoors site and inquire there also. The offer from Bugs would be a great place to check, good luck.

I would research past results during that time frame,,,, most often to catch the winning stringers you must take a 50 to 60 mile boat ride,,,
