Had a miss in the motor at low RPM, well it turned out I had some reeds that had gone bad, long story short, if you all got the metal reeds and your not careful they can break apart and get on top of the piston and cause a major problem. I got lucky and that didn't happen, they broke apart and went out alright. I had them order me some Boyesen Power Reeds. If you want some bad a$% reeds and increase the hole shot and top in then I would get these. They are fiber and won't cause any problems if they break. Anyway, anyone that has a reason to have their motor checked, this is something to think about. Its pricey but a new head would be worst.

The guy I sold my last boat to has a father in-law that use to have one of the fastest boats on Truman. Sounded like a pulling truck. He had a lot of work done to the heads and it had the Boyesen Power Reeds. It was a 19 1/2 or 20 ft boat that would push 80 but it had a lot of money in that motor. Glad you found the problem before it cost you a ton of money from tearing something else up.
Lady luck was on our side this time buddy......bout time!!!
