Been blowing a fuse for the last six weeks or so that provides power to the Radio and the 12V plug in on the Pilot.
Took the panel apart last week and kicked and pulled every wiring harness trying to get the dagnab thing to blow. Doesn't blow. I shut the back door and it blows.
I finally gave up and decided to make a new circuit for it. A little tricky as i had to wire in a relay. Spent four hours rewiring the deal. I take my time and put foam around the wires in the tight areas so they don't vibrate and make a buzz or rattle. Fire it up and we're good to go.
Head over to the parents place and have dinner, watch the swamp logger marathon. Head home and I told my wife I wired up the 12V plug in so she could use it too.
She asked, "Does the one in the middle work too?" I point to the second row plug and said it's on a different circuit it's never been out. She says, " Not that one in the middle, the one in the console." I said, 'What 12V plug in in the console?" She opens the lid and puts my hand down on this plug in with a lid on it. I lift the lid and stick my finger down into it and feel some objects in the bottom of the socket.
Get home, fish them out and find her cell phone charger plug had dropped the metal screw and rod into this vertical 12 V plug in. The were small enough that if they were centered they didn't touch the wall. But if you slammed a door or turned a corner or brake hard they would shift far enough to touch. Spent an hour yesterday wiring back up to the original scheme.
Nothing on the wiring diagram shows a plug in the middle of the console.
Could've figure the deal out last month had I only known that plug it was in there.

Sorry Kit! But don't you know if you want to know something you are supposed to ask the wife first? PW58 is always doing something like that with me. I will have a problem and be trying to fix it and then she will let me work on it. Then she will come up and tell me what the problem is.
kit old smokie 360 real close
Don't let that one get away if she'll work on stuff herself.
I did date a girl that was a construction major at ISU. Decided she wasn't a long term relation as she was always working on the rentals her family owned. I've seen that before where all the renter's stuff works, but the stuff at their house was in shambles.
