Me and two buddies were checking out some new ground. It was the day before rifle season and we weren’t going to hunt it that year anyway so we strolled across the field. About halfway across a cut bean field we hear BAM followed by an ominous whistling sound. Now I don’t know how close a bullet has to be to hear it but I’m sure it’s too close. No one said a word be we simultaneously turned around and headed towards the truck. I guess they were sighting in their rifles with no backstop as we hear several shots hurrying back to the truck. Man I bet that’s a good spot?????

He acted like he didnt know that he entered private property! He headed back to the state ground. I walked back to the cabin and gave up turkey hunting! been an avid crappie spawn fisherman ever since!
