    Default is baseball dead?

haven't seen any posts on 3 different boards about last nights game.I'm thinking it has something to do with the teams involved, and the overall saturation of non-stop sports.I didn't watch it.

The Rangers and Giants aren't big market teams so in turn there's just not the same level of excitement,i for one like to see a series like this at least the damn yanks didn't buy they're way into this one......go Rangers.

i watch baseball all the time and really enjoyed the game last night, it was supposed to be a pitchers duel but just let's you know anything can happen. i grew up in okla when mantle was playing and have been a yankees fan eversince, they spend alot of money but if you don't put a winning team on the field you won't make much money (with the exception of cubs of course). i am also a big cardinals fan but i am also pulling for the rangers in the series.

I'll watch regardless of the teams - always Cardinals first, if not them then I'm a fan of the national league. You know the league where they play real baseball and everyone bats!

I love baseball and I too think it's great some new teams are in the series. I also understand folks feeling the way they do about the Yankees, Red Sox and "buying" players. However, you have to give them credit; they do, in effect, buy players but they buy winners; players who KNOW how to win. Don't be fooled into thinking if KC waved 200 million in front of Cliff Lee that a player of that caliber would come here. Winners don't play for losers, they gravitate to who has the best chance of winning and yes, of course the money. If you were Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay Derek Jeter etc would you want to go to a low market team and flounder for years? Even Zack Greinke wants out. Winning breeds winning; losing, well, it breeds the Royals, Mariners, Cubs etc. Don't mean to offend any fans, just my opinion. Can't attract front line players if you don't win.

They still play that game in this country?? I thot for sure it would have moved to Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic by now.

Last time I checked, prolly 10 years ago, there was no MLB team in Alabama. They do play a little college football down there tho. :D
