Default Looking for cabins on Truman or LOZ

We're planning a last-of-summer-vacation weekend fishing trip with the kids, and are interested in C.C members' advice on cabins or other lodging (prefer lakefront if possible) on Truman or possibly LOZ. Just stating cabins because the last couple of years we've spent a week at some cabins down at Tablerock, and both times it was a very enjoyable experience (except for the fact that we always do LOUSY crappie fishing on the rock!).

Planning on the 13th-16th of Aug.

The Flame is a resort on the Niangua arm (LOZ) that has a covered fishing dock and caters to fisherman. Never stayed there, but know people that have and they enjoyed it.
I also know someone that rented a house on the Niangua near the Highway 54 bridge, I think. The house came with a pontoon boat. I can get the name and address of the owner if you like...good luck.
Both locations would be north of Camdenton by road.

Try Porters Bluff and Stuff. A couple nice cabins right on Osage Bluff. 30 seconds from the boat ramp. Great family too. The cabins sleep 6 in a dorm style setting with Kitchen and Bath.660.438.7766

I have stayed at the cabins in Sterrett Creek Village. They are very nice fully equipted and are about 2 minutes from the marina. I think there are 4 or 5 different sized cabins depending on how many people are going to be staying there

They are as close to the water as you will get on Truman. LOZ should have some closer to the water if that is what you are looking for. You should try the kitchenettes at Bucksaw they are right on the water. Boqt slip right outside your door.

We're all set for Truman.... but decided to go there for 2 days then to Lake of the Ozarks for the next two days. Still looking for a place near/on the water at LOZ for a couple of days. Sure do miss the days when the small mom/pop cabin resorts were all over that place I think every one of those has been replaced by a 500-unit condo building with a nightclub.
