We got 2 of the best dogs anyone could ever hope for. One is a welsh corgy, very smart and absolutely loves people; only problem is, he is so smart that he is hard to train, darned dog knows your trying to train him and damned if he don't give you a smug "ya right, like I'm gonna listen to YOU" look. Great dog though. Other one is a lab/blue healer mix, hands down the smartest freakin dog I ever seen. You can literally train him to do whatever you want in 5 minutes or less; and, he's the most loyal family pet you will ever find. He's not too good with strangers so you gotta be careful until he gets to know folks; after that he is a friend for life. Got him right after I lost my wife 9 years ago so we been through hell and high water together, that guy is the definition of 'mans best friend'. Named him Gilmore after my sons favorite movie at the time, Happy Gilmore.
Sorry CN, I know you were asking about where you could find a dog for your mother and I didn't help with your search. I just felt like braggin on my best buddies! Good luck with your search, and let us know how it turns out.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
