We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

That is what these are for, learned about them when I was stationed in Oklahoma. Nicknamed a snake charmer it is a .410 derringer. They can be handy at times!!! I'm not a big fan of snakes but I won't let them mess with my fishing or hunting. Been known to catch a few as well.

Was it a cottonmouth? Lots of water snakes down there and not all are cottonmouths. I only try and i.d. snakes after I kill 'em!

When I lived in Mississippi I had a snake get in my kitchen. I saw him slide under the freezer, so I put on my duck boots, moved the freezer and stomped his a--! It turned out to be a corn snake. My wife said "Why didn't you just shoo him off?" I told her that I did - with the bottom of my shoe!!
