Man, what a feel good story if they can win it all. I'm certainly pulling for them tonight.
Even if they don't win tonight, what a great run they have had.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
That half-court shot at the buzzer almost dropped, close game to the end..congrats to both teams!
It's not possible, but if there ever COULD be co-champions, they both deserved it.
Before last nite I was pulling for Duke, I really thought they would murder them, but by half time I started to find myself rooting for Butler. They sure got my respect
Oh well Butler will be back, they started 4 under classmen and one senior.
One heck of a game though
Always respected Duke cause their kids graduate and are pretty good citizens compared to lot of the rest. Had to love the Butler story this year though and they left it on the floor, couldn't ask for any more. Be interesting to see who tries to get their coach.
I may be prejudiced because I am a Duke grad, but I agree with Kazualobzerver. Coach K has never brought dishonor to the university and he runs a clean, high quality program. The emphasis at Duke is on academics, not sports. The basketball program is important to the university, but the reputation of the university as an academic institution is of far greater importance than any athletic program. In a large measure, Coach K's success has hinged upon the fact that he works well within such a system. I can't imagine coaches such as Tarkanian or Calipari lasting any time at Duke.
