    Default On The Road Again!

Well leaving Monday morning for Lineville, MO. Best I remember it is kind out in the sticks. Right up on the Missouri - Iowa line on highway 65. Headed up to a Hales Fireworks Showroom and Warehouse to get it ready for the season. Then I am scheduled to go to Eagleville, MO which is over on I-35 about 8 miles south of the Missouri - Iowa line to another Hales Fireworks Showroom and Warehouse.

It will be sure nice to be getting a paycheck again! I have to be back in Buffalo, MO on friday to get the income taxes done then its right back north. I am currently scheduled to be back in Buffalo, MO on Friday, April 23 & Saturday April 24 for the Hales Fireworks 2010 Wholesale Fireworks Demo. This is where I will rate the current and new products that I will let everyone know about. Right now there is scheduled to be about 40 to 50 new products.

LOL then April 25, 26, and 27th I am back here in Springfield to rest restock the RV and get the boat ready. April 28, 29, 30, May 1 and 2, Bucksaw Campground Crappie Camp. I know I will get my butt handed to me this year. So be nice to a old fart guys. After camp its more in likey back on the road again for Hales.

At least I will have internet service on this trip if I am lucky enough to have cell service up on the Iowa state line. I will try to check in once in a while. But the way it sounds I have several 12, 14 & 16 hour days ahead of me. I have several tons of fireworks to sort thru and a couple of showrooms to fill with product.

    See you all at Camp.

    Old DW

PS: Bugman let me know how many of those Iowa Farm Girls I am supposed to bring back for the fire dance that you're in charge of at Camp. Just remember my friend I only have 24,000 pound tags on my pickup!:D And the best I remember it don't take many to get over loaded!

You can drop off some samples when you come through Sedalia (not snow)

LOL what's the problem with snow?

I sure would drop you off a few if I still had some left. Heck I do have to test some of this stuff! :D Its called benefits!!! :D

I am thinking about just running up highway 13 to 71 to I-35. Hwy 65 has so many areas that are just 2 lane. And the last thing I want is some moron to see me coming and pull out in front of me. Its bad enough running around the farms at Preston when those tourist pull out in front of me when I am pulling a stock trailer. What they don't understand is I spent the extra money for the big motor in my pickup when I purchased it. And no matter if I am pulling a cattle, flat bed or RV trailer I have the power needed to pull them. And I normally do a good job of not allowing traffic to build up behind me. But when you pull out in front of me then go a couple of miles then turn off I get unhappy.

Dan I ran that road many times going back and forth to the hospital in Iowa City. I always ran up 23 out of Knob Knoster and hit 65 at Waverly. It is pretty decent road. Plenty of towns to go through that slow you down a little but is nice if you run into trouble along the way. Have a great trip and be safe. I have been there and there is not much around. See if the little diner is still there. Should be straight across the road from the fireworks store.
