Electric fillet knifes

What brand of electric fillet knife does everyone use, the wife bought me a Rapala fillet knife for Christmas and it's a piece of junk. The trigger works half the time and I don't like the feel of it. I use to use the ones from Wal Mart and they would last about a year. Is there a better brand that I need to try? Thanks

my dad uses mr. twister brand. hes had it for pretty good while with no problems. think he got it at bass pro but not sure.

I've always had good luck with the rapalas,maybe you just got a bad one.

I like the Rapala that I have. Had it for 4 or 5 years. The button would stick every once and a while and it would stay running after you took your finger off of it. I took it apart and filed the edge of the plastic switch and it has been fine ever since. I won a set of the Rapala cordless knives before camp in Kansas. Used them there and they worked great. Thought I would leave them in the boat. But they would loose charge to quick and were then useless when I needed them. They are still sitting the shed. The set I use has 110 volt plug in, battery clamps and a ciggarette plug in. So they are handy no matter where you are.

I've been using the American Angler knife with the skinny "shark" blades for several years. I have filleted hundreds of two pounders with it, and thousands of 12 to 14 inch dinks without any problems.

My dad has a Mr Twistwer, its his second one in probably 15 years, so they last great!

We don't catch enough crappie on Table Rock to use an electric very often.
But I do own a Browning 12Vdc and a Mister Twister 110vac

The browning is under powered. Don't know if I got a bad one, but I'm gonna sell it on Ebay. I bought it, cuz i thought there'd be a time when I need to hook up to the car battery to clean fish. That hasn't happened. I always have 110v nearby.

The Mister Twister was handed down from my Grandfather. It has had thousands of bluegills cleaned with it. Still truckin'.

Theres no doubt about it, the man is the quickest around for sure!! I use a Rapala also however my brother-inlaw uses the Mister Twister, theres good ones and bad ones.
