    Default Fireworks Thread Poll

As most of you know I am not happy unless I either blowing something up or Crappie fishing.

The wife and I both have a few years experience in doing commercial fireworks shows and also selling consumer fireworks. Last year I was lucky enough to be able to do the City of Bolivar, MO commercial fireworks show on July 4th.

Last year I worked in a fireworks store during July 4th here in Missouri. And some of you know that I spend almost 2 months gone away from home in Mississippi and Louisiana selling fireworks for Christmas and New Years.

Well before the July 4th season last year I posted a Thread about Consumer fireworks. I tried to give out honest answers, post different products, talk about new products and the good old ones. I tried to talk about what to look for into going into a fireworks tent or building. I also covered purchasing fireworks and also some ideas about setting up your own home show.

Granted it was alot of work on my part but I really enjoyed it and I do think some people learned something from the PM's I got.

Well folks it getting that time of year again! I will be attending fireworks Demo's starting the weekend before Spring Crappie Camp. I really lookiing forward to seeing the new products that will be offered for the first time.

Granted last years thread is still in the Archives I think maybe. But what I would like to do is a poll to see if anyone is interested in me putting together another thread like I did last year about the new stuff coming out and answer questions like a did last year to the best of my knowledge. I will leave this poll up for a couple of weeks to see what kind of interest there is.

    Default If Interested.

I know that a few of you have expressed interest last year in me putting together some custom shows. And I did for some of you.

If anyone is interested you can either PM me or talk with me at camp. Normally for a good family show you should be looking at a budget of somewhere in the $150.00 to $200.00 range for low end. Best if your going to do something like this is for everyone in the family to pool their money together. Folks its just like anything else you get what you pay for and the more you spend the longer and better you show will be.

Both of them used to flood when I lived up there. I can remember once dad took me up there to show me the flooding when I was a kid. I think you need to add a few years to that 20 years. I left KC in May of 1978 after I got released (they were glad to give me a sheep skin to get rid of me) from Oak Park High School. I got the paperwork one night going across the stage at the school and the next morning at 6 am I was in Harrisonville crossing the truck scales in my loaded pickup headed towards SWMO and the farms. I have only been back to KC a few times since.

Well I don't think I will have to travel south this summer to Mississippi. There is a couple of ladies that normally run the 2 stores in Richland during the summer for Hales. I was lucky enough to open up and run one of those stores on South US 49 until I got transfered to Lake Charles, LA to open up and run a store over there. I know there is alot of locations down there that Hales runs in the summer and also in the fall. I got to Richland the week before Thanksgiving and sold Christmas trees! That was a blast, first time I had ever sold Christmas trees. I know Hales has a warehouse and showroom down at Hattiesburg, MS that is really a nice place its on US 49 on the north bound side of US 49 south of town. Its down there around the Army base.

Give me an idea of where your at down there and I can give you an idea on where to go.
