And you invented that speech for politicians as well! You are one talented individual Jackb!:D I am not sure why there is a need to take steroids in baseball anyway, I can see why the NFL players take them, if they didn't they would not be able to withstand the punishment they take on the field. I for one know they take them in sports and I watch every game without ever thinking of it, what they do to their bodies is their choice. Why on earth congress thinks they need to waste taxpayer money on getting someone to admit to it is beyond me, the things they do in office is far more worthy of an investigation! I think every sports fan in today's era know this is what takes place in professional sports, if it didn't would this nation spend the money we spend to be entertained by them?

I agree as well Gator; what an athelete does to his/her body is something THEY have to live with. My whole point was he admitted to it and there is nothing to be gained by kicking him while he is down. The other fact is that Congress was/is trying to get atheletes to admit to a wrong doing when, at that time, no drug policies for steroids were in place!

I've always been a McGwire fan, even way back when he was part of the "bash brothers" for Oakland. I wish he had come clean a long time ago instead of now when he needs to to get back into baseball. I wish him much success in his new endeavor.

I could not agree with you more; if the old adage "everybody deserves a second chance" is true, this is his. I too wish him success.

At least we know there are no prefomance enhancers used in professional wrestling.:p
