Glad we can live vicariously through your offshore fishing.
I hope to get to the ocean again within the next couple years for some big gamefish and snorkeling.

I knew those were ocean highbred crappie, but i don't think i would want to fight those kind of waves for them.

Those waves kinda look like what we fished Saturday at camp on LOZ. At least they looked and felt like that to me.

PB, thanks a great deal for sharing, that's legendary stuff there. You'll have Silversides thinking he needs a fighting chair in his boat.
fighting chair for OSS? Maybe a fighting recliner:p
Great pictures Tom.....that has to be a blast!!
Crappie.......its whats for dinner!!
WTG, Bender. Looks like a lot of fun!
Wow! Nice job Bender, those are some great pics. Stockton might be a let down for you now!
Shooooot! I've caught bigger crappie than that Tom!!! I remember back in the fourties I used to catch Crappie that were 150 to 175lb all the time.... as a matter of fact the best bait for them was about a thirty pound swordfish! Took a big minner bucket though.
The big crappie have all but disappeared though.
Pretty nice bait there Tom......How many times you barf? I always have to barf at least once before I can get started fishing on the blue water.
CONGRATS on the awesome fishies....Black and chart?
Thanks guys that was probably a once in a life time deal and may never get to do anything like it again but is was a blast!
Sorry Slab Tech no barfing out of me! To much going on to think about it! I got to hear a bunch of stories about Hemmingway's fishing adventures from a guy who fished with him. We were less than 40 miles from Cuba and got to hear how a 500lb sword pulled them within a few miles of Cuba one night. I got to see Hester reel in a 300lb Sunfish and it is the only time anyone ever heard of one being caught on rod and reel.
